Dinet Srl manufactures equivalent automatic transmissions spare parts for bus applications, as an alternative to manufacturers such ZF and Voith. This in accordance with free competition law – the Monti law (regulation CE n.1400/2002 dated 31 July 2002) which allows authorized Voith and ZF repairers to use in repairs spare parts equivalent to the original.
Dinet was born in the mid 90s as a distributor of Schwitzer (Europe) Ltd. products for Italy (turbochargers for heavy equipment application) but it soon discovers its calling: to manufacture equivalent automatic transmissions spare parts for bus applications, equivalent to the original ones, competing with Voith and ZF manufacturers. At the beginning of the 90s the market was ruled exclusively by Voith and ZF manufactures who were imposing their conditions regarding prices to customers (both public transportation companies and private operators) as a strict monopoly.
Aware of the possibilities provided by the new European law regarding free competition (the Monti law) Dinet accepts the challenge to propose itself on the market as an alternative to manufacturers, with big investments to produce a first substantial range of fast moving spare parts, mainly for Voith automatic transmissions, it wins its first tenders. In the years, initiative, seriousness and experience of the company acquired in the field allow Dinet to grow and to became the only quality alternative to German Voith and ZF manufacturers. All of our customers have got to know the quality of products and the reliability services provided by Dinet. Of course the result most appreciated by our customers is the considerable fall in prices due to Dinet competition with manufacturers.
Since many years the company has turned its attention to international markets. In many countries the market situation is similar to that of the Italian market in the 90s, i.e. manufacturers do not face any competition. Although there are some difficulties approaching unknown markets, Dinet counts among its customers a lot of foreign operators (repairers/distributors) and it wants to increase its presence on markets worldwide. |
